Unique laser-based microplate nephelometer
NEPHELOstar microplate nephelometer detect particles in the fluid by measuring forward light scatter when a laser beam is transmitted through the solution. The light distribution detected at angles up to 80 degrees, and provides about thirty times higher sensitivity then traditional transmission readers that measures a reduction of light that passes the well.
NEPHELOstar is designed to meet HTS requirements. The microplate-based nephelometer is faster than conventional methods for solubility determinations.
Self-monitoring laser diode light source is a red laser with a wavelength of 635 nm. A diode laser has the advantage of greater stability than other light sources that provide better precision. The laser intensity can be adjusted via the software.
Variable laser beam is an exclusive advantage of NEPHELOstar. The ability to adjust the laser beam diameter with a narrow beam minimized fluid meniscus effects.
Reads 384-well plate formats. NEPHELOstar is the single microplate based nephelometern with the ability to measure the 384-well format with excellent sensitivity. Use less sample and produce more data per plate.
Full-cone angle detection systems with the most advanced detection system can NEPHELOstar integrating the largest scattering angle up to 80 degrees.
Stacker and Robot Compatibility. NEPHELOstar can be integrated into a wide range of robotic systems via ActiveX or DDE interfaces. For fast, simple flat handling are offered 50-plate stacker-hotels with integrated barcode reading.
